Dilates the pupil of the eye during certain medical procedures.

This medicine is not right for everyone. You should not receive it if you had an allergic reaction to tropicamide or phenylephrine.How to Use This Medicine:
Spray
- This medicine is given by spraying into your eye.
- A nurse or other health provider will give you this medicine.
- If you are wearing contact lenses, remove them at least 10 minutes before you receive the eye spray.
Drugs and Foods to Avoid:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
- Some medicines can affect how tropicamide/phenylephrine works. Tell your doctor if you are using atropine, carbachol, or pilocarpine.
- Do not use other eye products (including artificial tears) within 10 minutes of receiving this medicine.
Warnings While Using This Medicine:
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have heart or blood vessel disease or overactive thyroid.
- This medicine may cause the following problems:
- Mood or mental changes
- Increased pressure in the eye
- Rebound miosis (narrowing of the pupils) one day after receiving this medicine
- This medicine may cause blurred vision. Do not drive or do anything else that could be dangerous after receiving this medicine until you know how this medicine affects you.
- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine:
Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Blurred vision, change or loss of vision, dry eyes
- Fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeat
- Mood or mental changes, unusual behavior
- Muscle stiffness or tightness
If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:
- Dry mouth
- Nausea, vomiting
If you notice other side effects that you think are caused by this medicine, tell your doctor
